Pensacola Flooding Disaster
Posted on May 1, 2014
Northwest Florida and Coastal Alabama received an extreme amount of rain over the last few days, 17-24 inches, causing flooding of much of the area.
The overwhelming rain and lightning strikes, and resulting floods, have caused damage to many homes and roadways. It has also resulted in a State of Emergency being declared for the Pensacola area.
Our thoughts and prayers are with all those affected by this weather event. We encourage everyone to stay tuned to local alertsĀ and county road closures, as many roads are still flooded and/or impassable in the area. If you are in need of basic supplies, including food, water or shelter, please contact the Red Cross at 1-800-RED-CROSS.
Should you need to reach us at Pointe South Real Estate, Pointe South Residential Leasing or Pointe South Vacation Rentals, all of our offices are open today.
